Welcome to JUDICOM!

The Judicial Communications Network (JUDICOM) is a secure communications system developed by the Office of the Commissioner for Federal Judicial Affairs Canada (FJA) for the Canadian federal judicial community. Judicom is designed to facilitate and enhance communication, collaboration and knowledge sharing by connecting all members within a trusted online environment.

JUDICOM is currently used by over 1000 active federal judges in Canada and by more than 950 other members of the Canadian judicial community including judicial assistants, provincial judges, and law librarians.

Installation Instructions of the FirstClass Client

Before you start: If you already have a previous version of the FirstClass client installed, be sure that the application is closed before starting the new installation. If the JUDICOM icon appears in the bottom right corner, near the time display, right click on it and chose Exit.

Click on the installation file:
FirstClass Client Installation File for Windows
FirstClass Client Installation File for Mac
When prompted to download select Run, and follow the instructions on your screen.
Confirm installation completion by clicking OK or Finish.
Locate the FirstClass icon on your desktop and login to your account.
- Open the Advanced options and enter judicom.ca.fc into the Address field.
- Enter your User ID and Password.

This completes the installation.

Installation on Mobile (Apple)

Installation Instructions for Firstclass Mobile App (Apple)

FirstClass Mobile is available for download at no cost.

You must have an App Store account to download the FirstClass Mobile application.

Getting the FirstClass Mobile app from the App Store

From your iPhone/iPad or your iPod Touch, tap the App Store icon to launch it.

Tap on the Search icon at the bottom of the App Store window and tap on the Search bar and search for "FirstClass Mobile".

Tap on "Free" at the right of "FirstClass Mobile" and tap on "Install". If asked, enter your user id and password for your App Store account.

Setting the "Auto Save Password" to Off

Once the FirstClass Mobile App has finished installing itself, tap on the FirstClass App.

Tap on the "i" icon at the bottom of the window in order to open the preferences of the App.

Set the "Auto Save Password" to "OFF" by sliding the slider button from "ON" to "OFF". Then tap on the "Done" button.

Login into your FirstClass Account

Once you are back at the FirstClass Mobile window, enter the JUDICOM Server name: judicom.gc.ca, your JUDICOM User ID and Password. Then tap on the Login button.
